Golfers who take on Trancoso Terravista face two different golfing environments. The front nine is played amidst the Atlantic Rainforest, with temperatures, humidity and landscape characteristic of this area. The back nine, in contrast, offers dazzling views of the beach with four of its holes perched high upon the ocean cliffs.

Working in an area with incredible ocean views from seaside cliffs, native Brazilian rain forest, contours almost ideal for a golf course, and knowing that Brazil was discovered at this exact location 500 years ago, was a wonderful experience. My construction team and I felt honored to be part of this amazing project and also felt a huge responsibility to deliver not just a golf course but a championship course that will stand the test of time in the ever growing game of golf. Capoeira in Trancoso - Brazilian Martial Art

Trancoso has a Capoeira school that is part of a group with more then 20 years experience in teaching new and advanced students. The group lider is master Railson who travels the world showing a genuine Brazilian martial art.

Capoeira is a blend of martial arts, games, and dance that originated in Brazil in the regions known as Bahia, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, and São Paulo. It was created and developed by slaves brought from Africa. It is an art form that originated in Brazil during the 16th century. Participants form a roda (circle) and take turns playing instruments (such as Berimbau), singing, and sparring in pairs in the center of the circle. The game is marked by fluid acrobatic play, feints, and extensive use of groundwork, as well as sweeps, kicks, and headbutts. Less frequently used techniques include elbow-strikes, slaps, punches, and body throws. (Capoeira in the Wikipedia)
